Standalone IE

Sometimes when we designing a template, we need to test it in other browser, to make sure our design not crowd. I choose Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser. Then Internet Explorer as the next one. I always test my template in both browser. When i have more time, i test it in more browser, like Opera and Netscape.

Yup, i know IE 6 (and previous version) is sucks, my template always look perfect in Firefox, (personally i trust Firefox is better than IE 6 when handling CSS), but majority of the internet user still use Internet Explorer as their primary browser. So? i MUST make the template as good as it display in Firefox.

Here’s, i’m not talking about how to fix the template in IE. But how to test our template in previous IE version when we already installed the new one.

Why i need it?? About five weeks ago, i installing IE 7. I test my template in both Firefox and IE 7. Theres no different, my template looks perfect in both browser. One week later i receive complaint about my template. They say my design looks crowd in IE 6. WTF!?!?! How can i test it since i already installing IE 7.

Googling and i found Standalone IE. GREAT!! My problem solved, i downloading Standalone IE 6 (also available IE 3 until 6). Hell Yeah!!! My design is crowd in IE 6. SUX!!
